Visible improvement in video signal quality for analog composite signals. Xbox motherboard revision v1.0 sees the most improvement.
Theoretical improvement and stability for component and digital conversions.
So what does it do?
This board decouples the CPU and GPU from their shared power plane on Xbox motherboards v1.0 through v1.4 and assigns them each an individual power delivery circuit. This allows for a cleaner power signal to be used by the GPU encoder and clock timer, resulting in less video blanking, improved frame synchronization and in some instances even less observed noise of the video signal.
Not for use with Xbox v1.6 motherboards, as the engineers redesigned the v1.6's to have proper independent power planes by that point.
